Conducted Event, Selling $5.6 Million in
Property

2008 (KANSAS CITY, Mo.) – United Country
Auction Services, the largest integrated

that real estate buyers are out there if

Country – Hendren & Associates managed a
highly successful auction Springdale,
Ark., selling $5.6 million of property
in just a few hours.
The auction
attracted buyers from across the
country. More than 625 people attended
the event, including 515 registered
bidders representing Arkansas, Oklahoma,
Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska,
Arizona, California, Hawaii, Alaska and
even Australia. The crowd included
individual buyers, banks, investors,
auctioneers and representatives from
other real estate companies. After
beginning the auction at 10 a.m., the
last lot was sold just after 2 p.m.
“We set out
to provide exceptional results for our
client and we were successful. It was a
huge win for United Country and a
testament to our real estate marketing
program that works despite market
conditions,” said Leroy Hendren, owner
of United Country – Hendren & Associates
in Jay, Okla. “We received a lot of
positive feedback from the sellers,
buyers and media. Two of our offices
worked together, and we also had a lot
of help from the home office. Without
these people, the auction would not have
been the huge success that it was.”
Paul
Colvin, Jr., owner of United Country –
Hendren & Associates Northwest Branch,
listed the properties sold and led the
marketing efforts to recruit buyers.
With the help of Larry Barnes,
owner/auctioneer of United Country
Hendren & Associates in Jay, Okla., and
the United Country home office marketing
team, Colvin secured news coverage in
several major media outlets. The auction
was featured in the Arkansas Democrat
Gazette, Northwest Arkansas Morning News
and The Benton County News, as well as
on three local television stations and a
local radio station.
“We were
the lead story both Friday and Saturday
night on the local TV stations,” said
Hendren. “Reporters from our CBS, ABC
and NBC affiliates attended the auction,
and so did several newspaper reporters.
Getting the word out to potential buyers
was key in delivering the results to our
client.”
