United Country Vice President Elected
to National Auctioneers Association
Board
August 5, 2008 (KANSAS CITY, Mo.) –
Shawn Terrel, vice president of United
Country Auction Services, has been
elected to the National Auctioneer
Association (NAA) Board of Directors.
The election was held on Thursday, July
10, at the 59th International
Auctioneers Conference and
Show in
Nashville, Tenn.

to what he will contribute and
accomplish with the NAA,” said Mike
Jones, president of United Country
Auction Services, past president and
chairman of NAA and International
Auctioneer Champion. “Shawn brings an
extensive auctioneering background to
the table, and I’m confident he’ll do an
outstanding job serving the members of
the NAA.”
Terrel is the past chairman and
president of the Oklahoma State
Auctioneers Association, and in 2007, he
was named the Oklahoma Champion
Auctioneer. In the last 10 years as an
auction manager and associate broker,
Terrel also has become one of the
industry’s authorities on conducting
simulcasts. He not only has participated
in more than 1,400 live auctions, but he
also
has facilitated many of these
auctions incorporating online simulcasts
during the events.
In addition to his professional
auctioneer designations, Accredited
Auctioneer Real Estate (AARE) and
Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI),
Terrel is also a licensed real estate
broker in Oklahoma and Kansas.
