United Country Real Estate has been named one of the top military friendly franchises by G.I. Jobs in their 2010 Military Friendly Franchise list, released this month. Compiled through extensive research including polls of thousands of franchises nationwide and precisely developed methodology and criteria, the list revealed the top franchises offering the most incentive to America’s veterans. United Country is among the top 10 percent of all franchise systems nationwide to receive this honor, one of only two national real estate franchise brands featured on the list and the only real estate franchise offering discounts and incentives for veterans.
“United Country was founded in 1925 with the mission of helping people achieve the American dream of owning a piece of this nation’s land,” said Mike Duffy, president of United Country Real Estate. “Our veterans have ensured our freedom to live our dreams, and they fully deserve the freedom to transition into the best business opportunity to help them achieve theirs.”According to Duffy, previous real estate experience is not a requirement for success in the field. Whether a veteran is looking for a franchise opportunity or a career in real estate sales, United Country has developed extensive training programs and a market-leading value proposition including enhanced marketing, cutting-edge technology, auction services and proprietary lead lists, to ensure agents and brokers have the skills and tools necessary to become leaders in their markets.
“The foundation of a successful real estate business hinges on honesty, discipline and a strong work ethic; the very same qualities that come to mind when you think of our military professionals. The real estate profession has so much to offer veterans, including self-employment, flexible hours, work variety, unlimited income potential and the ability to be of service to others,” Duffy said.
United Country’s military veteran franchise program provides discounted franchise fees, start-up assistance and training programs. The program is available to veterans who are qualified real estate brokers, or those who have a spouse who is a qualified broker. Sales agent opportunities are available within the company’s franchise offices across the nation.
Veterans interested in opening a franchise office or information on sales agent positions can learn more by calling 800-444-5044. The full list of Military Friendly Franchises will be published in the May issue of both G.I. Jobs and Vetrepreneur magazines, at www.militaryfranchising.com, and in the 2010 Franchising Guide for Military Veterans.
“The (Military Friendly Franchises) list was created out of demand from military veterans who kept asking us for a way to sort through the barrage of marketing from franchise recruiters,” said Dan Fazio, managing editor for GI Jobs magazine. “Veterans sought a trusted friend to help them decide which franchise to open. The Military Friendly Franchise list is that trusted friend.”
